As an MMJ I produced 12-15 stories per week that aired at 6, 9, and 10 pm on local Fox and CBS affiliate KJNB. I scheduled and conducted interviews every day on a wide range of topics that were all local/community oriented. Also wrote stories for anchors to read as voice overs. Shot and edited video for each story as well as posted them to station’s website and social media. Communicate regularly with PR officials, media contacts, and communications officers. Discuss story pitches at daily news meetings.

During my time as an AV tech, I set up, installed, and tested audio and video equipment all over FedEx Forum for the Memphis Grizzlies, Memphis Tigers, concerts, and more. Equipment included: handheld and wired microphones, sound systems, projectors, video screens, televisions, monitors, recording equipment, and audio/video cables. I also ran pre and post-game press conferences for basketball games.
As a project operator for the MLB, I served in a few different roles with the Memphis Redbirds. I worked with the automatic balls and strikes system which includes communicating with the umpires throughout the game to ensure that the system is working nonstop.
With the Travelers, I had numerous roles that I filled to create their live broadcast on MiLB TV. These included operating cameras, both remote with a PTZ camera as well as standup manned cameras. Creating and editing graphics through Ross Video that was displayed on the stadiums jumbotron as well as on MiLB TV. I also occasionally ran the broadcast on a switcher as the director and facilitated the broadcast for the stadium as well as MiLB TV.

As a sports MMJ for Harding’s news station, I spoke on camera about local and national sports stories. I created my own full-screen graphics and edited videos. I was responsible for scheduling and conducting interviews with athletes, coaches, and other individuals, and editing the packages to be played on the show. As the sports producer I assigned stories to other anchors and reporters as well as edited video for them and coordinated the production of packages and creation of graphics.
